World of Drones STEM Workshops - SOLD OUT

Recommended for school groups in years 4 – 6

In a fun and interactive one-hour workshop, we explore coding and design a program for a Drone Search and Rescue Mission. Learn from a real Drone Pilot, the physics of multi-rotor flight and how Drones operate.

Areas of learning:

  • Introduction to Drones and the physics of multirotor fligh.
  • Use a Drone simulator to get a feel for how a Drone operates
  • Learn about algorithms and write a program to control a Drone
  • Innovative thinking through group collaboration and problem solving 

Date: Thursday 31 August and Friday 1 September 2017.
Times: Workshops will be held at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm on both days.
Venue: Level 4, Queensland Museum
Ticket Price/Entry: $6 per student. Supervising Teachers free.
(Bookings essential – limited places available). Sessions min 18 students - max 30 students
