Great Barrier Reef photographic display

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's most extensive coral reef system. It extends for 2,300km along the Queensland coast and is more than 300,000 sq. km in area. The Reef consists of 3,500 individual reefs, 600 rocky islands and 300 coral and sand cays. 

This photographic exhibition showcases the work of renowned Queensland Museum Network photographer Gary Cranitch. Gary has worked as a wildlife photographer at Queensland Museum for 37 years and his incredible work has been published in Australian Geographic, Popular Science, New Scientist, National Geographic online and numerous other publications and journals around the world. He has also contributed to Queensland Museum’s extensive range of natural history publications.
