Complaints
Public Interest Disclosures (PID’s) are complaints regarding substantial and specific matters such as official misconduct, maladministration, misuse of resources or danger to public safety, health and the environment and to people with a disability. The QM PID policy and procedures aim to support and maintain the high standards of professional and ethical conduct at QM and assist employees and the public to understand their rights and responsibilities in reporting fraudulent or corrupt behaviour or making a PID under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 (Qld);
The policy and procedures document outlines how to lodge a PID, the protection of persons who make a PID (discloser) or those who are the subject of a PID. This policy applies to all QM employees and volunteers but is also useful for a member of the public making a PID to the Museum under the Act.
Queensland Museum Public Interest Disclosure Procedures (161 KB)
The Policy and Procedure document includes a template complaint form that can be used for lodging a PID. The form can be submitted to Peter McLeod, Director of Corporate Services and Business Development (peter.mcleod@qm.qld.gov.au).
