Entry Information

In line with Stage 3 of Queensland Government’s COVID-safe Roadmap to recovery, Queensland Museum Network will open in from 22 June for Annual Pass holders and 25 June for general public with changed entry conditions to allow visitors to reconnect with arts and culture. You will see some changes to the way we do things including requiring a free timed ticket in order to gain entry to the museum.

  • Cleaning frequently touched areas and surfaces regularly, and encouraging good hygiene practices for all visitors
  • Providing hand sanitiser stations
  • Implementing timed ticketing to help us manage crowds during restrictions
  • Asking for your contact information to help with contact-tracing (if required)
  • Establishing dedicated entry and exit points and contactless payment to minimise contact
  • Changing up our programming to promote social distancing
  • Encouraging you to extend your visit through our online programming at our Queensland Museum Network At Home website and #CouchCurators tags
  • To assist with social distancing, some galleries and exhibitions will have a limited capacity at any one time. Please refer to signage and follow the direction from our Visitor Service Officers
  • Trading hours have been reduced to assist in accommodating for cleaning
  • Back of House tours and non-essential external visits will be paused until further notice
  • When dining in at Café Muse, please provide your contact information as directed by staff to help with contact tracing (if required). For further information on changes to the café, please click here.

What you can do to help

The health and safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers are utmost priority. We ask that you please do not visit if you have knowingly come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days or if you are unwell including displaying fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath.

While you are here, please practice good hygiene and following the directions provided by our friendly staff.
